Picture #1: This is the little kicker's foot! You can see all five toes of this energetic appendage if you look along the bottom edge of the triangle-shaped ultrasound picture.
Picture #2: This is our boy's face! He has his left hand up in front of his left eye in the picture, and his right eye is the dark spot (I guess eyeballs don't show up on ultrasounds!) You can kind of see the outline of his nose and mouth, too, if you are a very talented Magic Eye artist.
Picture #3: This is not our baby. If you guessed a baby body part on this one, you probably mastered the art of unfocusing your eyes a little too well. This is a picture I took from our back porch; our neighbors have a lot of cows and this spring they were joined by many calves! I haven't ever lived in close enough proximity to baby cows to ever think they were cute before. Somehow, I think all young animals are cute when they are learning how to run. Ben says I'm just baby-hungry.
I hope you were using a zoom lens on those cows. or you live upwind of your neighbors... :)
